On August 2, 2012, Fairview Township police officers were dispatched to the Motel 6 located off Limekiln Road for a report of disorderly conduct involving several persons. Upon arrival, officers were directed to a room and made contact with Miguel Angel Moreno-Morillo, Ricardo Reyes-Villegas, Manuel Salvador Villanueva-Reyes, Jesus Rosales-Reyes, Josefina Ramirez-Vargas and Ricardo Reyes-Villanueva. Marijuana was found in the possession of Miguel Angel Morreno-Morillo, and he was later determined to be a member of a Mexican gang. Angel was arrested for drug possession and transported to the York County Booking Center.
Through further investigation it was discovered that all six people were in possession of large amounts of counterfeit gold jewelry, new shoes and clothing with the tags still on them, as well as toy guns that had the appearance of real weapons. Also found in their possession were notebooks containing hand drawn maps indicating various department store locations with all the roads to and from the stores.
All six subjects were determined to be illegal immigrants and the remaining five were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
