Between the overnight hours of May 5th into May 6th, numerous unlocked vehicles in the New Cumberland area of Fairview Township had items stolen from them. The police department received theft reports from victims that had their cars parked on Ross Avenue, Water Street, Fairview Road, and Lewisberry Road. Among the items stolen were prescription medications, backpacks, and GPS units. There was no damage or signs of forced entry to any of the vehicles.
Police would like to remind residents not to keep valuables in their vehicles, especially if they are in plain view, and to keep their car doors locked. If anyone has any information on these thefts, please contact the Fairview Township Police Department at 901-5267.
