Harrisburg man arrested for DUI after passing out in traffic

On July 27, 2013 at 2:29 pm the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to the area of Wyndamere Road at Woodland Avenue.  There was to be a vehicle stopped in the middle of the travel lane.

Upon arrival of officers it was discovered that the operator of the vehicle, Randall Lee Rupert of Harrisburg, was severely intoxicated.  A witness had managed to get Rupert out of his vehicle and off the road.  Emergency medical personnel were summoned to the scene to treat Rupert.  Due to his level of intoxication, Rupert had to be transported to Harrisburg Hospital via ambulance.

While at the hospital, Rupert consented to a legal test of blood.  That test showed that his BAC was .246%.  Charges were subsequently filed against Randall Rupert for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
