The Fairview Township Police Department arrested 55 year old Debra Groff in connection with a domestic dispute with her husband at their residence. On Sunday, February 16 at approximately 1:07 pm the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Salem Road for a report of a stabbing.
On arrival, police discovered that Debra Groff and her husband had been involved in an prolonged argument at their residence. At one point, Groff advised that she went to the kitchen and obtained a knife. She then went into the bedroom and attempted to stab her husband in the chest. She reported that she was unable to stab him in the chest because he got the knife away from her. Her husband suffered non-life threatening injuries during the attack and refused EMS transport to a hospital.
Groff was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Harassment. She was transported to the York County Booking Center were she was processed and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Miner. Groff was released on $12,500 bail.
