Police Investigating Residential Burglary

On April 28, 2014 the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to a reported burglary that was to have occurred in the 100 block of First Street.

The home owner reported that the residence had been posted by the bank and was going through the initial stages of foreclosure.  On April 25, the homeowner settled with the bank and was permitted to return to the residence.  Upon returning, it was discovered that items were strewn throughout the residence and various things were missing.  Police were then called on April 28.

The home owner alleges that entry was made through a kitchen window due to a damaged screen that was found.  Among the items that were reported to be missing were various electronics, tools and jewelry.  The total reported loss was to be in excess of $1,400.
