On May 18, 2014 at 2:51 am the Fairview Township Police Department was called to the Rutters convenience store on Lewisberry Road for a report of several intoxicated subjects at the store who had gotten into a vehicle.
Police found and stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of the store. The driver, 31 year old Andrew Castner of the 1700 block of Elm Street in New Cumberland, was found to be highly intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI. During a search of his person after the arrest, police found Castner in possession Vicodin and Lorazepam. He did not have a prescription for either medication.
Castner was transported to the York County booking center for arrest processing and arraignment. He was charged with DUI and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Castner was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Thomas Reilly and released on $7,500 unsecured bail.
