National Night Out Community Celebration

On August 5th, Fairview Township will be holding it’s first National Night Out Community celebration at Roof Park, 599 Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland. The concept of National Night Out is to promote strong police-community relations and improve neighborhood awareness on crime prevention. There will be many informational booths from various public safety entities and community organizations.

The police department will be providing child ID kits , free gun locks, and give-away items for the kids. In addition, there will be free food, free raffle drawings, music from Newman from BOB 94.9, as well as bounce houses and other games and activities for families.

Residents are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the REDCAP food bank that helps local families in need. Thanks to generous donations from local businesses and organizations, this is a NO COST event that will be staffed by volunteers. Festivities begin at 5:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM. Please consider attending this inaugural event.
