Police Solve Credit Card Fraud Case

On July 7, 2014 the Fairview Township Police Department was dispatched to a report of a resident’s credit card being used without that resident’s consent.

The victim used her card at the Hess Express on Fishing Creek Road on July 3, 2014 at approximately 4:30 pm.  The victim accidentally left her credit card at the pump.  It was then used without her authorization at approximately 6:15 pm that same date.

Police were originally provided surveillance that pictured a female suspect.  Through investigation, police were able to determine that individual did not commit the crime.  Police were able to determine that the clerk on duty at the time of the transaction was the actual offender.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged 28 year old Rodrecus Capers of the 200 block of Fieldstone Court with 1 count of Forgery, 1 count of Theft by Deception and 3 separate counts of Access Device Fraud.
