Animal Control

Officer Thomas Galli is a part time Police Officer assigned to animal control and education. Officer Galli will handle domestic animal ( dogs & cats) related issues and is also available to answer any questions regarding licensing and the provisions of the State Dog Law as well as Township Ordinances.

Officer Galli can be reached by calling his voice mail 717-901-5267 or email tgalli@fairviewpolice.org.

Please remember to keep your dogs on your property and have them properly licensed. This is required under state law and violations may result in a fine.

The Police Department has a contract with the SPCA of York County and you can contact them at 225-5532 or www.ycspca.com. Residents of Fairview Township can take any stray dog or cat to the SPCA at no charge to our residents.

The Department also maintains a small kennel facility to accommodate stray animals for short periods of time.

The Police Department will charge any animal owner a $30.00 pick up fee if we have to take the animal into custody and transport to our kennel facility. We will charge an additional $15.00 for every 24 hours the animal is in our custody. Most animals are transferred to the SPCA within one day.

Please contact the Department if you have any questions or need further information.
