Public Relations & Community Events

The Fairview Township Police Department regularly participates in community activities. Please contact the department if you would like an officer to attend your community event and/or speak at your next meeting.

TEAM PROGRAM

This department participates with the TEAM (Teach, Educate and Mentor) program and coordinates TEAM activities in partnership with the West Shore School District. We provide the TEAM program to 5th grade students attending Fairview and Fishing Creek Elementary Schools. We also provide presentations at Crossroads Middle School on drug awareness and bullying. The current TEAM instructors are: Officer William Buzzard, Officer Jason Lotier, Officer Andrew Paul, and Officer Pete Picciurro.

PARK & WALK

Residents and students will often see our officers and/or police vehicles parked in front of local school buildings. The Park & Walk initiative, which began in 2000, encourages officers to visit township schools on a regular basis. Although there are occasions when an officer’s presence may be requested by parent or school officials, most times we are conducting a Park & Walk visit.

The following schools are located within Fairview Township:

Elementary Schools Middle School High School
Fairview Crossroads Redland
Fishing Creek
Mt. Zion
